First Time Daddy... 2nd... 3rd...

Whelp, it has been awhile since my last post, and for those of you who don't yet know, my wife and I are going to have even more babies! The key word here being babies as opposed to baby, yes that in fact means two!

No we are not just avid Twins fans, we are in fact having twins come this November.

Let me first just speak to my elated excitement about this, having one baby is awesome, as you have seen with my joyous posts about Benson, but that fact that two more will be coming into my life is just incredible! Growing up I always thought it might be neat to have twins, but never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would in fact actually have twins. I was sitting at my desk two Wednesday's ago when Pauline gave me a call, she referenced, "I hope you are sitting down," (my thought was, duh, I am at my desk), but I muttered, "Yeah..? Why?" at this point I am assuming it is a bad thing because everyone knows you don't give out good news when you tell someone to sit down... "There's two!" A flood of emotion came over me that can only be described as pure joy! What did I do to deserve such a blessing in my life?

As I think about the tough times that are in store related to everything that has to do with caring for and raising twins, I can't help but outweigh the toughness with utter happiness and the thought that I am going to have two more loved ones to show my love and care and eventually show God's love and care. It is so incredible that God has entrusted us with the care of two more of his loved ones and I only pray that I can do Him proud and bring all of my little one's closer to Him and show them that He is what they need and He is the one that they should give their whole lives to!

So absolutely awe-inspiring and amazing!

What does this mean for Benson?

Benson will never do anything to receive any less love from me. No matter what he may do, or how many kids we may have, there is absolutely no way that I would stop loving him as much as I do now. Heaven forbid he hurt me in the future in any way, shape, or form, but even still, I am reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, it will be such a great blessing to see my son return home if at any time he decides to turn his back on me. He is forever in my heart and I will always pray for his salvation and always forgive any wrong he may do.

But, I don't want to get negative and say that he will do any of what I just said, we just never know, the world is full of sin and it is hard to know how anyone will turn out, but I will keep praying and leaving it up to God to guide and shape all of my loved-ones lives.

There are so many firsts still to come for both Benson and these two new one's that are coming sooner than we think! It is just so very exciting to think that I am going to be a part of it!

Speaking of firsts! Again, if you missed it, here are some pictures of Benson's first haircut!

As you can tell from the pictures, it started with one comb distraction and when that wasn't enough, it was a two comb distraction! Overall though, he seemed to enjoy it! It helps to have your mom be the one doing it I suppose. He is starting to look more and more like a little boy now!

Here are a few other random photos from the last couple months that are some of my favs:

Kid loves balloons, that's for sure, but what little kid doesn't? And unfortunately/fortunately for him, he is going to someday have to get glasses (both mommy and daddy have them), but at least he will look like a stud when he gets them.

MUCH MUCH MUCH more to come on the twin front as well as the Benson front, for now, I leave you with a few name suggestions for the twins that we have already received, brought to you by our small group, and also, a picture of what Benson may want to do when he "grows up."

Cain and Abel

Brett and Favre

Olaf and (insert any other Frozen name here)

Eden and Isabella

Totes and Perf

Wolf and Gang

Wayne and Gretzky

(Thanks again to our small group for the super suggestions)

And here is Benson pretending to be a Firefighter for the day!

As always thanks for reading and God bless!
